Town chairman David Sheepshanks has welcomed the club's creditors' acceptance of the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). At a series of meetings this morning 98.2% by value voted for the financial restructuring plan.

Town's last home game of the season ended with a dismal second half collapse and a 5-1 Wimbledon win. The Blues were one-down at half-time and, with a number of players looking either jaded or disinterested, a five minute spell late in the second period saw Wimbledon, already 2-1 up, rack up three more goals.

Chairman David Sheepshanks has called on fans to remain loyal to the club and to renew their season tickets this summer. This season the Blues had around 20,000 season ticket holders but it is expected that there will be a drop-off this time around despite a price-freeze for those who paid early last year.

Town boss Joe Royle has told fans not to expect a mass exodus from Portman Road this summer. With the club still needing to reduce the wage bill, there were fears amongst supporters that a number of players would leave in the close season if the Blues remain in Division One.

The Blues will point to two crucial refereeing decisions which saw Brian Curson deny a strong Town call for a penalty and fail to send off Millers' defender Shaun Barker for a professional foul on Martijn Reuser, Barker subsequently playing a role in both goals.

Town's play-off hopes were given a massive boost as they convincingly beat Portsmouth 3-0 at Portman Road. Three goals within the first 30 minutes gave the Blues a cushion which they held on to during a second half where they rarely looked under threat.

A report this morning claims Town's current debt to be £54.237 million. This figure includes the £25 million bond, player wages, the bank overdraft and other debts.

Both Town's injury concerns, Thomas Gaardsøe and Jim Magilton, are still in the running for Saturday's trip to Highfield Road. The pair have been suffering with groin injuries but have improved as the week has progressed.
